The Get Gates Story
Many great ideas come from frustration of current solutions, leading us to launch Get Gates in 2013.
We have a 150mtr long driveway and we needed automated gates and intercom for peace of mind.
Not a big ask? Well apparently it was a big ask. The two options presented to us were either, No you can’t have this because it is too far away or, yes you can at a huge cost, disruption and inappropriate trenches all through our property.
We thought with today’s technology this was not acceptable, so we worked hard to create an affordable, long distance gate solution. In fact ANY distance gate solution.
Using today’s technology, we can provide you with solar power automated gates with GSM intercom. No digging, no trenching and no wiring throughout your property unless you want it of course.

The Fence It Story
Fence It was incorporated over 20 years ago. Throughout this time, Fence-It has built a great reputation being able to offer quality and affordability to the commercial markets. Over the years Fence It has been steadily growing. It is now widely recognised as the go-to company for many major contractors around Greater Auckland.
In the past years Fence It was owned and supported by one of largest Fencing Distributors and Manufacturers in Auckland. Whilst the business has been sold to Get Group in 2014, this alliance is still very strong and now Get Gates & Fence It combined, benefits their customer base with these strong alliances and product offerings.
Woodhill Fence & Gate
Woodhill Fence & Gate was purchased by GetGroup in December 2016, resulting in our own engineering division. This was another long standing Auckland Fence & Gate Company, servicing a commercial and residential customer base. The customer base is now serviced through Get Gates & Fence It, whilst the Engineering is now set up as its own company, Get It Made Limited. Auckland Powder Coaters
With Powder Coating being the last step of metal gate and fence supply, this was the next logical acquisition. Auckland Powder Coaters was purchased by GetGroup in May 2017, meaning GetGroup are now the only Auckland Gate & Fence company who can offer the total package resulting in better delivery times and service. Auckland Powder Coaters is now known as Get It Coated Ltd.
